SCCR Staff Recognized With Guardian Angel Gift

Thankful to Serve Great Patients in Cedar Rapids

The Guardian Angel program gives patients and families the opportunity to make a donation in appreciation of a physician, team member or department that made a difference in their healthcare experience. With the help of St. Luke’s Foundation, their gifts help fund programs and equipment that add to the quality of care at UnityPoint Health facilities such as Surgery Center Cedar Rapids.

Recently, we were able to hold a recognition ceremony for a very special Guardian Angel gift that was received from Tanya H. She wanted to give special honor to those who went above and beyond in caring for her during her surgery.

Guardian Angels Being Recognized:

  • Kiley Stineman
  • Jen Eley
  • Shawn Snitkey
  • Kerry Blackman
  • Sara Smith
  • Jacey Richards

Hear from Tanya about her experience:

"Kiley, Jen, Shawn, Kerry, Sara and Jacey were in the Surgery Center when I had to have my colonoscopy. They were so awesome and welcoming. I went into the room with music playing and all of them welcoming me with open arms. I appreciated their kindness and fun spirits. I was not looking forward to the procedure. You all made my day and something that is not fun, bearable! Thank you, Guardian Angels!"
